About the Monument
The Martha Ballard Committee is seeking to raise funds to pay tribute to our own, Martha Ballard. The commemorative monument will be placed at the southern-most western corner of Mill Park just before the parking lot. This is a prominent place overlooking Bond Brook, the Kennebec River and the arched granite bridge over Bond Brook that Martha's grandson oversaw the construction of around 1851 as a town official. See pictures of the site below and its river views.
